Our “Medical Missions – Technology” ministry is to serve as a technological catalyst, aiding in the planning and implementation of technology within “Medical Missions”. Our purpose is to assist in bridging the gap of technology in the medical field thus resulting in improved healthcare in these underserved areas. Many times, these remote clinics and hospitals lack the critical resources needed to fund, implement, and sustain technology. We believe that “Medical Missions” not only provides the needed healthcare to others, but it also provides a great opportunity to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
While there are several areas that fall under the description of “technology”, one of our primary areas of focus is the planning and implementation of Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems in these under-resourced healthcare facilities. An EMR system has the ability to transform healthcare delivery in these facilities by improving data collection, patient management, and overall healthcare efficiency. With our EMR implementations we come alongside dedicated healthcare professionals and local administrators in these remote locations in order to assist them with improving and streamlining patient care. We work to ensure these systems are personalized to meet the unique needs of each clinic or hospital, considering factors such as their local infrastructure, available resources, and any specific needs that are unique to their services or facilities.
We understand that the introduction of new technology can present significant challenges, especially in areas where such systems are unfamiliar. Thus, where it is needed, we assist in the training of the healthcare professionals, ensuring they can effectively use these systems to improve patient care.
In addition to the implementation of an EMR system, we strongly believe that these systems must be sustainable. We are committed to providing ongoing technical support to these remote clinics and hospitals, ensuring they can continue to leverage this technology in the long run.
As a ministry, we are committed to exploring and developing new ways technology can improve the quality of healthcare and give more opportunities to share the Gospel one medical mission at a time.
